Midwestern Citizen is a leading undergraduate opinion and culture publication staffed by students at 13 different universities across America. From its origins at the University of Michigan in 2021 to its national reach and membership today, the publication is renowned for its aggressively intellectual style.

To date, MC is the premier undergraduate outlet for resonant, feverish reflection. Hosted on the platform are comprehensively researched op-eds, essays, and short stories on a plethora of legal, political, and sociocultural topics, both present and historical.

MC's objective is to promote the free exchange of ideas in considering what it takes to build a flourishing society of responsible, free-thinking individuals who value individual liberty, robust debate, and vehement writing.
